Across communities, conservation spaces, classrooms, and quiet corners of the world – women show up. With consistency. With courage. With care.
This Women’s Day, we don’t just acknowledge that women matter, we celebrate the ways they already lead, already shape, already carry the stories of change in motion.
Not as symbols or heroes, but as real people doing real work by healing, teaching, protecting, growing.
We would like to honour four women whose stories have left a mark on us. Each one is different. Each one shows us what resilience looks like, not in theory, but in lived experience.
Joy: A Story of Survival and Hope

Joy’s voice carries a truth many would rather avoid, but she doesn’t turn away. After surviving gender-based violence, she chose to speak. And in doing so, she gave others the courage to do the same. Her story is one of deep healing and strength – steady, real, and full of heart.
Maria: Breaking Barriers in Conservation

In spaces where women were often overlooked, Maria stepped forward. A conservationist driven by passion and purpose, she is reshaping what leadership looks like. For every girl who dreams of the wild, Maria makes space and leads by example.
Tilda: Period Dignity and the Power of Open Conversation

Tilda’s work is rooted in dignity, speaking out where there has been silence. She’s breaking the stigma around menstruation, especially in refugee communities, and reminding women and girls that their bodies are nothing to be ashamed of. She makes space for pride, for health, and for open conversation.
Sellah: Teaching for Tomorrow

In Malawi, Sellah teaches not just lessons, but a love for the land. Through her mentorship, the next generation of conservationists is being shaped, young people who will one day protect the places they call home, because they were guided by someone who cared.
Celebrating Women: In Every Way They Show Up

Women shape our world in ways that are both deeply visible and beautifully quiet. In the large moments of bravery, and in the unnoticed ones, where love is poured into families, into communities, into the land itself.
They carry so much. They endure so much. And still, they create space for others to grow. For children to feel seen. For change to take root. For care to continue.
This Women’s Day, we honour that.
Not by asking anyone to do more, but by recognising what is already being done.
And by choosing to celebrate it.
Happy Women’s Day.
Your everyday is extraordinary. In small acts and steady strength – you shape the world. Thank you.
